Beauty on a budget: Dischem Mini Haul

Hey Bouquet! I hope you're all well and geared up for the holiday season. So I went to the mall earlier today and decided to pop into Dischem with the sole purpose of buying a bottle of coconut oil. Let's just say I ended up buying enough to publish this Dischem mini haul post. All the items that I'll be mentioning in this post are under R100 (hence this post being under the Beauty On A Budget series) and can also be purchased through Dischem's website.

1. Essence SHINE SHINE SHINE Lip gloss

I've been meaning to purchase this lip gloss for as I can remember. I've always heard quite a few makeup enthusiasts raving about it and I finally understand why. It's not only moisturising with an icy and glossy effect, but it smells amazing too. It also has a plumping effect which is great. The lip gloss cost R29.95 which is a steal in my opinion. If lip gloss is your thing, I definitely recommend that you get this product.

2. Compact Mirror

I've been meaning to purchase a new compact mirror for quite some time now and I guess today was the day. The mirror I purchased from Dischem is from Basics cosmetics which is an amazing brand. The brand mainly comprises of makeup applicators. I love the fact that there are two mirrors which show different angles making it easier to get a better view of yourself .The mirror cost R29.95 and comes in different shapes and colours.

3. Dischem Lip Therapy

I've known about this product for a while and decided to give it a try. I'm really pleased with it because it's moisturising and the flavour I purchased (honey) smells divine. It comes in many different flavours and costs only R14.95! If that doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will.

4. Nail Polish

I also bought two bottles of nail polish which I'm super excited to try on. As a beauty on a budget, learning to do your own pamper routine is very important. I'm not a pro when it comes to nails but my main goal for this year was to learn and I think I've been doing really well. The silver/ glittery one is by Absolute Nails and the white one by Basic nail enamel. They both cost R21.95 and R19.95 respectively.

5. Essence My Beauty Lip Moisturiser

My lips have been going through the most lately which is weird considering that it's summer. This is why I'm investing in as many highly recommended lip moisturisers as possible. This essence lip moisturiser is more like a balm which I absolutely love. It cost R42.95.

6. Essence Smoothie Gloss

This is the last lip moisturiser I purchased, I promise. I've been meaning to try it out for a really long time. I must say that it's much smaller than I thought it would be however, it smells great and it's moisturising game is unmatched. It cost R18.95.

7. Essence I Need A Miracle! Mascara

Yes, I am obsessed with Essence. Apart from it's affordable prices, I also love how young and vibrant the brand is. It's also inclusive which I'm totally here for. I tried the I Need A Miracle! mascara immediately when I got home and I absolutely love it. It volumised my lashes, adding drama to my eyes. I also love the design and shape of it's container. It cost R74.95. Dischem has a wide range of other mascaras from Essence. Put yourselves on.

8. Coconut Oil

After spending money I don't have, I decided to purchase the coconut oil I had actually entered the store for. If you've read my previous posts, you would know that I am obsessed with coconut oil. I use it on my hair and skin with amazing results. It cost R32.95.

To all my girls who shave, ditch the shaving cream and try using coconut oil. Thank me later.

Dischem has a Youth Card which is given to shoppers under the age of 25. I've been using it for a few months and it's discounts are amazing. I suggest that you get yourself one if you're a regular shopper.

They also have a regular shopper's card which you can get in store if you're above the age of 25.

I hope you guys enjoyed this mini haul and are tempted to purchase some of the products mentioned in this post. Take care.
