Wardrobe Diaries: 5 outer wear items every girl must have

Hey Bouquet! I hope you're all doing well. I also hope that you're taking good care of yourselves amidst this pandemic. I've decided to let the fashion fad in me have her way by publishing another fashion post. In this post, I'll be giving you a list of five outer wear clothing items that I think every girl needs. WARDROBE DIARIES is a new segment on my blog. In this segment, I'll be giving tips and advice on how to build your wardrobe. This was all inspired by the fact that I've also decided to start over when it comes to my wardrobe. I feel as though I've found my personal style and need clothes that match that. I hope you enjoy this blog post.

1. Leather jackets

No, you don't have to get the biker girl kind if that's not your thing. A plain black, or brown leather jacket will do. Leather jackets look cute in every colour I've seen them however, a black or brown will be easier to match and incorporate into any outfit. They can be worn with jeans, dresses or even skirts. Leather jackets are a definite must.

2. Denim jackets

This is honestly my favourite outer wear clothing item. It's both timeless and fashionable. I would suggest getting a blue or black one for a start. These will be easy to incorporate into any outfit and be that piece of clothing that just takes an outfit from basic to fashionable. Another advantage to denim jackets is that they can be worn in every season, including summer. This is dependent on how high the temperature is of course.

3. Bomber jackets

If you're a casual outfit girl, this right here is an item you need. If you aren't one, getting one could still be beneficial for those days when you just feel like rocking something casual. My suggestion would be to get a black, nude or a burgundy one. I've seen these colours looking cute in so many outfits on so many different people. They're also warm which makes them perfect for winter.

4. Puffer jackets

These are my current favourite outer wear clothing items simply because they're super stylish. They're slightly different from bomber jackets since they are usually bigger and longer. When it comes to puffer jackets, the best option is to get a colour that you really like. I wouldn't recommend black because I feel like it won't do this style of the puffer justice. A bright colour such as blue would be better because it would show off the jacket's design. Also, if you're a fan of oversized clothing, you'll love the puffer.

5. Blazers

Blazers are perfect for every occasion. You can go from cooperate to baddie in less than thirty seconds with a blazer. They look good with skirts and heels, as well as jeans and sneakers. My favourite colours are black and red when it comes to them. However, I must admit that they look good in every colour. Getting blazers with detail such as buttons, prints or zips is also a great option. Detail will never fail to take your outfit from basic to glam in no time.

These are my favourite outer wear staples. I honestly believe that these are a great start to building up your wardrobe. I hope you enjoyed this blog post.
