Style Icon: Lerato Kgamanyane

Hey Bouquet! I hope you're all doing well and taking good care of yourselves. Like with the previous Style Icon post I published a few months ago, writing this one without sounding like the groupie that I am was really difficult. None the less, I hope you enjoy this post.

Lerato Kgamanyane, better known as Rato K is not just a pretty face. She is also a digital entrepreneur and the founder, as well as managing director of Hellen Rose which a creative consultancy company for women.

It showcases content related to food, fashion, travel, beauty, business and lifestyle, all created by women - for women.

What makes Hellen Rose special is the fact that it gives women a platform to advocate for things that they stand for, creating an engaging platform. What makes it even better is the fact that it was created by another woman.

Not surprisingly, Lerato is also a fashion and lifestyle blogger. This only makes sense since she is a fashionista of note, and someone who enjoys travelling. Through her blog, she shares fashion tips and her travel experiences.

Lerato covered The Throne magazine last year and mentioned in an Instagram post that she had always hoped to cover a black owned publication first.

She also appeared in the Cosmopolitan in 2017 and was a finalist for their Instagram Fashionistas list.

High End Fashion Queen

Lerato is the queen of styling high end fashion items. From Yves Saint Laurent heels to Channel mules.

The fact that she is able to incorporate these designer items into her outfits without looking tacky is honestly what makes her a fashion icon.

Fashion Accessories

I've seen Lerato wearing so many hats with so many different outfits and she makes it work every time. Be it a hat or a pair of sunglasses, Lerato is the poster girl for using accessories to make a fashion statement.

Lerato's hairstyles are to die for. She goes from rocking a pixie cut to fresh braids. Her wig game isn't any different, rocking wigs in different colours and styles.

During her pregnancy, Lerato shared gorgeous maternity outfits that oozed style. She proved to us all that maternity wear doesn't have to be boring and unfashionable.

Lerato also had us all thinking that she invented baby showers after she posted pictures of herself in stunning outfits from her baby shower sometime last year.

Face Beat Lerato

Her makeup game is definitely something worth mentioning. She has shared so many pictures of her makeup looks on social media.

Lerato Kgamanyane is one of the people I look up to because she is doing exactly what I'm working on doing with my life. Hellen Rose is what I hope my blog will become some day. A platform where we as women can engage about matters that concern us. I also admire what she has accomplished, especially considering her age.
