Stop being a hater!
Hey Bouquet! I hope you're all doing well and having a great week. Since my most recent post was a Hot Girl Summer one, I figured I would keep the Girl Talk momentum going by publishing this post. This post is for all my girls who are going through it and are lashing out in the worst way possible - hate! If you're hater, please continue reading. If you aren't, continue reading to avoid becoming one. I hope you enjoy this blog post.
I've seen so many beautiful girls spew nothing but ugliness and it has always confused me. I only started understanding why seeing others doing well would trigger someone else negatively quite recently. Feeling like you're not winning while everyone around you seems to be is frustrating. Not because you aren't happy for those around you but because you just don't understand why such amazing things aren't happening for you. Due to this frustration, becoming bitter and hateful is tempting. Don't let it happen. Do better!
Realistically speaking, we all want to do well. We all want to look snatched on Instagram, make money and flourish in our respective lives. Unfortunately, we're all leading different lives and are moving at different paces which is OKAY! Since we're all in our own races, it only makes sense for us to move at our own paces. With that said, there is no need for you to hate on Lerato's new wig by saying that its colour doesn't suit her. Your time to rock a twenty four inch honey blonde wig will come. Trust the process!
Instead of going onto YouTube and disliking a makeup tutorial that you tried out and failed, how about practicing and actually bettering your makeup game? Instead of liking really mean tweets about a girl you think is pretty and are jealous of, mute her and the entire conversation about her. If you're struggling to fight the hate in you, mute and unfollow those that you find yourself hating on.
Whatever you do, don't let yourself slip into a state of being a bitter Betty regarding anything. Instead of hating, work on yourself and level up. This is not to say that you should be in competition with anyone. The only competition you should have is yourself. Comparing yourself to everyone else will always make you feel as though you're behind.
Stay away from hateful people. You really are the company you keep so watch out for friends that are constantly hating on other people. You can't outgrow something that you're constantly exposed to.
This post was just a little rant which is why it's not that long. I hope you enjoyed it. Remember, own race, own lane, own pace. Take care.
